Hadith 1521
١٥٢١ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أنا حصين عن عكرمة أن عمر بن الخطاب أتى على حوض من الحياض، فأراد أن يتوضأ، ويشرب، فقال أهل الحوض: إنه تلغ فيه الكلاب والسباع، فقال عمر: إن لها ما ولغت في بطونها، قال: فشرب، وتوضأ (١).
Hazrat Ikrimah narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab passed by a pond and intended to drink from it and perform ablution. The people of the pond informed him that dogs and wild animals drink from it. He replied, "For them is what they have drunk." Then he drank from it and also performed ablution.
