Hadith 1519
١٥١٩ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن عاصم عن عكرمة قال: مر رسول اللَّه ﷺ بغدير فقالوا: يا رسول اللَّه إن الكلاب تلغ فيه والسباع؟ فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "للسبع ما أخذ في بطنه، وللكلب ما أخذ في بطنه؛ فاشربوا، وتوضؤوا"، قال: فشربوا وتؤضئوا (١).
Hazrat Ikrimah narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a pond. The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Dogs and wild animals drink from this pond." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whatever the wild animal drank is in its stomach, and whatever the dog drank is in its stomach. You may drink from it and perform ablution with it." Thus, the people drank from it and performed ablution with it.
