Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ata says that I saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), Hazrat Abu Saeed, and Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) — when they performed istilam of the Hajar Aswad, they would kiss their hands. The narrator says that I asked, "And Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) as well?" He replied, "I think Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) as well." Hazrat Ata says, "I would not touch the Rukn if I did not kiss my hands." And Hazrat Amr bin Dinar says, "Whoever touched the Rukn and did not kiss his hands has shown indifference."
