Hadith 1517
١٥١٧ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال) (١) حدثنا أبو أسامة عن الوليد بن كثير عن محمد ابن كعب عن عبيد اللَّه بن عبد الرحمن بن رافع بن خديج عن أبي سعيد الخدري قيل: يا رسول اللَّه (أنتوضأ) (٢) من بئر بضاعة؟ -قال: وهي بئر (يلقى) (٣) فيها ⦗٣٠٢⦘ الحيض، ولحم الكلاب، والنتن- فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إن الماء طهور لا ينجسه شيء" (٤).
Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, "Can we perform ablution with the water of the well of Budha'ah?" (The well of Budha'ah was a well into which clothes of menstruating women, meat of dogs, and dirt and filth were thrown.) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Water is purifying; nothing makes it impure."
