Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Zuhri says that if a person is prevented during battle (or in enemy territory), then he should offer the sacrifice at the place where he is stopped, and he becomes lawful for women and all prohibited things, just as the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did (at the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah). Alqamah says regarding the one who is prevented (Muḥṣar) that he should send the sacrificial animal, and when it is slaughtered, he should come out of the state of Ihram.
