Hadith 14136
١٤١٣٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يونس بن محمد قال: حدثنا أوس بن (عبيد اللَّه) (١) عن (بريد) (٢) بن أبي مريم (عن أبيه مالك بن ربيعة) (٣) أن النبي ﷺ قال: "اللهم اغفر للمحلقين" ثلاثًا، قالوا: يا رسول اللَّه والمقصرين؟ قال: " (والمقصرين) (٤) " قال (٥): " (كنت) (٦) يومئذ محلوق الرأس فما سرني بحلق رأسي ⦗١٢٤⦘ حمر النعم" أو قال: "خطر عظيم" (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Malik bin Rabi’ah that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a supplication: O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads. The companions said, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! And for those who shorten their hair? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: And forgive those who shorten their hair as well. The narrator says that on that day I had shaved my head, and because of this supplication of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I felt more happiness than if I had received red camels or a great number of camels.
