Hadith 13877
١٣٨٧٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن محمد بن شريك عن سليمان الأحول قال (١): ذكرت لطاوس صوم (يوم) (٢) عرفة أنه يعدل بصوم سنتين، فقال: أين كان أبو بكر وعمر عن ذلك؟ (٣).
It was mentioned before Hazrat Tawus that fasting on the day of Arafah is equal to the fasts of two years. He said with astonishment: Then where were Hazrat Abu Bakr and Umar regarding this? (Meaning, why did they not fast on this day?)
