Hadith 13845
١٣٨٤٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا كثير بن هشام عن جعفر بن برقان قال: ذو ميمون بن مهران في قتل الرجل الصيد وهو محرم، قال: ﴿(فَجَزَاءٌ) (١) مِثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ (يَحْكُمُ بِهِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِنْكُمْ) (٢) هَدْيًا بَالِغَ الْكَعْبَةِ﴾: إن وجد الرجل من (جزاء) (٣) الصيد أهدى، وإن لم يجد فقيمة ثمنه، فيجعله طعاما يتصدق به على المساكين، فإن لم (يجد صام) (٤) عن طعام كل مسكين يومًا.
It was mentioned before Hazrat Maymun bin Mehran that if a person in the state of Ihram hunts, he said: Allah the Exalted has stated: { جَزَآئٌ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ یَحْکُمُ بِہٖ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنْکُمْ ھَدْیًا بٰلِغَ الْکَعْبَۃِ } If that person finds the compensation for the hunted animal, then he should slaughter it, and if he does not find it, then he should determine its price with money, then take food from it and give it in charity to the needy, and if he does not find needy people, then for each needy person’s meal, he should fast one day.
