Hadith 12470
١٢٤٧٠ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون (أخبرنا) (١) حماد بن سلمة عن أبي التياح عن أنس أن (٢) مسجد رسول اللَّه ﷺ كان لبني (النجار) (٣) فقال لهم رسول اللَّه ﷺ: " (ثامنوني) (٤) به"، فقالوا: لا (نلتمس) (٥) به (ثمنًا) (٦) إلا عند اللَّه، وكانت فيه قبور من قبور المشركين ونخل وحرث، فأمر بالحرث (فحرث) (٧)، وبالنخل فقطع، وبالقبور فنبشت (٨).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that the Prophet’s Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him) belonged to Banu Najjar. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: Take its price from me. They replied: We seek its price from Allah Almighty. And in the mosque there were graves of polytheists, date-palm trees, and cultivated land. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the crops to be cut, the trees to be cut down, and the graves to be dug up.
