Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

12343 - Abu Abd al-Rahman Baqi ibn (Makhlad) narrated to us (1), Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Salam Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Mansur, from Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza who said: When news of a man's death reached Ali, he would say: "Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. O Allah, raise his rank among the guided, and succeed him in his progeny among those who remain, and we count him with You, Lord of the worlds. Do not misguide us after him, and do not deprive us of his reward." (2).
