Hadith 12283
١٢٢٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (عبد الوهاب) (١) الثقفي عن أيوب عن محمد عن (الحسن) (٢) بن علي وابن عباس أنهما رأيا جنازة فقام أحدهما وقعد الآخر فقال الذي (قام للذي) (٣) لم (يقم) (٤): (٥) ألم يقم رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: بلى، ثم قعد (٦).
Hazrat Muhammad says that Hazrat Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a funeral procession. One of them stood up and the other remained seated. The one who stood up asked the one who did not stand, "Did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) not use to stand (at funerals)?" He replied, "Why not," and then he sat down.
