Hadith 12146
١٢١٤٦ - حدثنا معاوية بن هشام ثنا (سفيان) (١) عن علقمة بن مرثد عن سليمان ابن بريدة عن أبيه قال: (كان) (٢) رسول اللَّه ﷺ يعلمهم إذا خرجوا إلى المقابر فكان قائلهم يقول: "السلام عليكم يا أهل الديار من المؤمنين والمسلمين، وإنا إن شاء اللَّه بكم (للاحقون) (٣)، أنتم (لنا) (٤) فرط ونحن (لكم) (٥) تبع، ونسأل اللَّه لنا ولكم العافية" (٦).
Hazrat Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught the companions that when they visit the graveyard, they should say: Peace be upon you, O believers and Muslims of this place! If Allah wills, we shall join you. You have gone ahead, and we shall come after. We ask Allah for well-being for ourselves and for you.
