Hadith 11253
١١٢٥٣ - حدثنا ابن مبارك وعبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: التمس علي من النبي ﷺ (ما يلتمس) (١) من الميت فلم يجده فقال: بأبي طبت حيًا (وطبت) (٢) ميتًا (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also performed istifsa (cupping) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) like other men, but nothing came out. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: May my parents be sacrificed for you, you lived pure and died in a pure state.
