Hadith 1107
١١٠٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد قال: كنا مع (سلمان) (١) في حاجة، فذهب (فقضى) (٢) حاجته، ثم رجع فقلنا له: توضأ يا أبا عبد اللَّه؛ لعلنا أن نسألك عن آي من القرآن قال (٣): فاسألوا: فإني لا أمسه: إنه لا يمسه إلا المطهرون: قال فسألناه، فقرأ (علينا) (٤) قبل أن يتوضأ (٥).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Yazid narrates that once we were with Hazrat Salman. Hazrat Salman went to relieve himself. When he returned, we said, "Please perform ablution, perhaps we may ask you about some verse of the Qur'an." He replied, "You may ask, I will not touch the Qur'an because only the pure may touch it." Then we asked him about the Qur'an and he recited from it to us before performing ablution.
