Hadith 11018
١١٠١٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عطاء بن السائب قال: أتيت أم كلثوم ابنة علي بشيء من الصدقة، فردتها وقالت: حدثني مولى للنبي ﷺ يقال له مهران أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "إنا آل محمد لا تحل لنا الصدقة ومولى القوم منهم" (١).
Hazrat Ata bin Saib narrates that I brought some charity to Hazrat Umm Kulthum bint Ali (may Allah be pleased with her), but she returned it and said that Hazrat Mehran, who was a servant of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), narrated to me that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Charity is not lawful for us, the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the slaves of the tribe are also included among us.
