Hadith 10806
١٠٨٠٦ - حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: حدثنا (عبيد اللَّه) (١) عن نافع عن ابن عمر أن عمر حمل على فرس في سبيل اللَّه، فرآها في السوق تباع، فسأل النبي ﷺ ⦗٣٣١⦘ (أن) (٢) يشتريها، (فقال) (٣): "-لا- دعها حتى توافيك يوم القيامة" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Hazrat Umar gave a horse in charity in the way of Allah and made a Mujahid ride it. Later, he saw it in the market and intended to buy it back himself. He went to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and inquired about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Leave it, so that you may be given its (full) reward on the Day of Judgment.
