Hadith 10646
١٠٦٤٦ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن الضحاك بن عثمان عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: فرض رسول اللَّه ﷺ صدقة الفطر (صاعًا) (١) من تمر أو (صاعًا) (٢) من شعير قال: (و) (٣) كان ابن عمر يعطيه (عمن) (٤) (يعول) (٥) (من نسائه) (٦) ومماليك نسائه إلا عبدين كانا مكاتبين (فإنه) (٧) لم يكن يعطي (عنهما) (٨) (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi that Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed Sadaqat al-Fitr as one sa’ of dates or one sa’ of barley. Hazrat Nafi says that Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to pay Sadaqat al-Fitr on behalf of the women of his family who were under his care, and on behalf of his slaves, except for two mukatab slaves, for whom he did not pay.
