ما قالوا في صيام شعبانRegarding fasting in Sha'ban
Hadith 10026
١٠٠٢٦ - حدثنا (زيد) (١) بن (الحباب) (٢) قال: حدثنا ثابت بن قيس قال: ⦗١٢٦⦘ (حدثني) (٣) أبو سعيد (المقبري) (٤) قال: حدثني أبو هريرة عن أسامة بن زيد قال: قلت: يا رسول اللَّه رأيتك تصوم في شعبان صومًا لا (تصومه) (٥) في شيء من الشهور إلا في شهر رمضان قال: "ذلك شهر يغفل الناس عنه بين رجب وشهر رمضان (ترفع) (٦) فيه أعمال الناس فأحب أن لا يرفع لي (٧) عمل إلا وأنا صائم" (٨).
Hazrat Usama bin Zaid says that I asked, O Messenger of Allah! I have seen you fasting so much in Sha’ban that except for Ramadan, you do not fast as much in any other month. What is the reason for this? He replied, This is the month that people are heedless of. It is the month between Rajab and Ramadan. In this month, the deeds of people are presented before Allah. I like that when my deeds are presented before Allah, I am in a state of fasting.
