´Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that` Abu Jahl, the accursed, said: "O Allah! If this Qur'an is true and from You, then rain down stones upon us from the sky, or bring upon us a painful punishment." At that time, this verse was revealed: "Allah will not punish them while you (O Prophet) are among them, and Allah will not punish them while they seek forgiveness. And what is (the matter) with them that Allah should not punish them while they prevent (people) from entering Masjid al-Haram...," until the end.
