Hadith 2121
`Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that` one day I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) early in the morning. He (peace be upon him) heard the voices of two men who were arguing about a verse, so he (peace be upon him) came out and anger was apparent on his face. He (peace be upon him) said: The people before you were destroyed because of disputing about the Book of Allah (which is when done out of selfishness, corruption, or to mislead people. But investigating the meaning and deriving religious rulings is correct. [Nawawi]).

Narrated by Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Recite the Qur'an as long as your hearts are in agreement with your tongues, and when there is a difference between your hearts and your tongues, then get up (stop reciting).
