Hadith 2119
´Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them) says that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, "Recite the Qur'an to me." I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Shall I recite the Qur'an to you, while it has been revealed to you?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I desire to hear it from someone else." Then I recited Surah An-Nisa, until when I reached this verse ((Fakayfa idha ji'na)) (An-Nisa: 41), I raised my head or someone nudged me so I raised my head and saw that the tears were flowing from the eyes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Hadith 2120
´Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them) says that` I was in Homs when people asked me to recite the Qur'an to them. I recited Surah Yusuf. A person said, "By Allah! It was not revealed like this." I said, "Woe to you! By Allah! I recited this Surah before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said, 'You have recited well.'" In short, while I was talking to him, I smelled alcohol from him. I said, "You drink alcohol and deny the Book of Allah? You will not leave until I administer the prescribed punishment to you." Then I flogged him (with the prescribed lashes for drinking alcohol).
