´Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Persia and Rome are conquered, what will you say? Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We will say what Allah has commanded us (that is, we will give thanks for it). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: And you will say nothing else? You will envy, then you will be jealous, then you will break ties with your friends, then you will become enemies, or he said something similar. Then you will go to the poor emigrants and appoint one of them as ruler over the others.
