Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will be an interval of forty between the two blowings of the Trumpet. The people asked, "O Abu Hurairah! Forty days?" He replied, "I do not say." Then the people asked, "Forty months?" He replied, "I do not say." Then the people asked, "Forty years?" He replied, "I do not say." (That is, I do not know its exact determination.) Then a water will be sent down from the sky, and people will grow from it just as vegetation grows. He said: There is nothing in the human body that does not decay except one bone, and that is the tailbone. From this bone, people will be created on the Day of Resurrection. (Imam Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him, said that the Prophets are an exception to this, for Allah Almighty has made their bodies forbidden to the earth.)
