Hadith 2033
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The land of Iraq will withhold its dirham and qafiz, the land of Sham will withhold its mudd and dinar, and the land of Egypt will withhold its irdabb and dinar, and you will become as you were before, and you will become as you were before, and you will become as you were before. Then Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Abu Hurairah’s (may Allah be pleased with him) flesh and blood bear witness to this hadith (meaning there is no doubt in it).
Hadith 2034
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Famine is not that rain does not fall, rather famine is that rain falls and falls abundantly, but nothing grows from the earth.
