Hadith 1987
Narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up from sleep in a state that he was saying: “La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah), woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near! Today a hole has been opened in the barrier of Gog and Magog like this,” and (the narrator of the hadith) Sufyan made a circle with his thumb and index finger (to show the size). I said, “O Messenger of Allah! Will we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us?” He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Yes, when evil becomes prevalent (i.e., immorality, fornication, children born out of wedlock, or acts of disobedience).”

Hadith 1988
´Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Today, so much has opened in the barrier of Gog and Magog (i.e., such a hole has been made in it)," and (the narrator of the hadith) Wahib described this by making the figure of ninety with his fingers. (Perhaps this hadith is from before and after Umm al-Mu'mineen Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), and perhaps the intention is to give an example, not to specify a limit.)
