Hadith 1939
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who among you will climb the pass of Marar so that his sins may be forgiven like the sins of the Children of Israel were forgiven?" Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The first to climb that pass were our horses, meaning the people of the tribe of Khazraj, then the people followed." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The forgiveness has been granted to each one of you except the owner of the red camel." We went to that man and said: "Come, so that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) may supplicate for your forgiveness." He replied: "By Allah! If I find my lost thing, it is dearer to me than the supplication of your companion." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "That man was searching for his lost thing (he was a hypocrite, that is why the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that his forgiveness was not granted, and this was a miracle of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as he turned out exactly as the Prophet had said)."
