Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of my companions, do not speak ill of my companions. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if any one of you were to spend gold equal to (the mountain of) Uhud (in the way of Allah), it would not equal a mudd (a handful) or even half a mudd of what they gave.
