Mukhtasar Muslim

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) that Aqra’ bin Habis (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: The people of the tribes Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaynah, and Juhaynah, who used to raid the pilgrims, have pledged allegiance. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If (the tribes of) Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaynah, and Juhaynah are better than Banu Tamim, Banu Amir, Asad, and Ghatafan, then these people (i.e., Banu Tamim and others) are at a loss and have failed? He said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, they are better than them (i.e., the tribes of Aslam and Ghifar, etc., are better than the tribe of Banu Tamim and others).
