Hadith 1730
Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I recognize the voices of the Ash‘aris from their recitation of the Qur’an when they come at night, and I also recognize their dwellings by their voices at night, even though I have not seen their dwellings during the day when they descend during the day. And among them is a wise man who, when he meets the cavalry of the disbelievers or the enemy, says to them: “Our people say to you, give us some respite or wait a little,” meaning, “We too are ready and coming to fight.” (That is, he saves himself with wisdom and prudence, because the enemy thinks that he is not alone, but that there are others with him.)

Hadith 1731
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, when the people of the Ash‘ari tribe run short of provisions during a battle, or when the food of their families in Madinah becomes scarce, they gather whatever they have in a cloth and then distribute it equally among themselves. These people are from me and I am from them (meaning I am pleased with them and I like such unity).
