Hadith 1712
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a military expedition, and Allah Almighty granted him (victory along with) spoils of war. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to his people, "Is there anyone absent among you?" The people replied, "Yes, so-and-so, so-and-so, and so-and-so are absent." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Is there anyone else absent?" The people said, "So-and-so and so-and-so are absent." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Is there anyone else absent?" The people replied, "No one." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I do not see Julaibib (may Allah be pleased with him)." The people searched for him among the dead and found his body near seven corpses whom Sayyiduna Julaibib had killed. He killed seven and was then martyred. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to him, stood there, and then said, "He killed seven men, and then he was killed. He is of me and I am of him." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) lifted him with his own two hands, and only the Prophet's hands served as his bier. After that, a grave was dug and he was placed in it. And the narrator did not mention the washing (ghusl).
