Hadith 1703
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), four persons compiled the Qur'an, and all four were Ansari. Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal, Ubayy bin Ka'b, Zayd bin Thabit, and Abu Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them). Qatadah said: I asked Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), "Who is Abu Zayd?" He said: He was one of my uncles.
