Hadith 1608
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: We have more right to doubt than Ibrahim (Abraham) (peace be upon him). When he said: "O my Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead." Allah the Exalted said: "Do you not believe?" Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) replied: "Why not? I do believe, but I wish that my heart be satisfied" (that is, to attain the level of 'Ain al-Yaqeen from 'Ilm al-Yaqeen). (Al-Baqarah: 260) And may Allah have mercy on Lut (Lot) (peace be upon him), he sought refuge in a strong and firm thing (that is, a Prophet asks from Allah, while Lut (peace be upon him) was desiring a strong support). And if I were to remain in prison for as long as Sayyiduna Yusuf (Joseph) (peace be upon him) remained, I would have responded immediately to the caller.
