Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, a time will come when you will not be able to see me, and seeing me will be dearer to you than your children and your wealth. (Therefore, consider my company a blessing, life is uncertain, and learn matters of religion quickly.) Abu Ishaq (i.e., Ibn Muhammad bin Sufyan) said: In my view, the meaning of this is that "for them to see me" means that seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will be given precedence. And in this statement, there is advancement and delay (i.e., the order of the words is changed).
