Hadith 1588
Narrated from Ibn Shihab, he states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fought in the battle of the conquest of Makkah. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) set out with the Muslims and fought in Hunayn, so Allah Almighty granted victory to His religion and to the Muslims. On that day, he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Safwan bin Umayyah one hundred camels (from the spoils of war). Then he gave him another one hundred camels. Then he gave him another one hundred camels. Ibn Shihab says that Sa'id bin Musayyib narrated to me that Safwan said: By Allah, whatever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me, he gave me, and (before that) in my eyes he was the most disliked of all people. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to give me until he became the most beloved of all people to me.
