Hadith 1549
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My cistern (Hawd) is equal to the distance of a month's journey, its four corners are equal (that is, its length and width are the same), its water is whiter than silver and its fragrance is better than musk. The cups placed on it are as numerous as the stars in the sky. Whoever drinks from it will never feel thirsty again. Abdullah said that Sayyida Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I will be at the cistern and I will see who among you comes to me there. And some people will be prevented from coming to me, so I will say: O Lord! These people are from me, from my Ummah. Then it will be said in reply: You do not know what deeds they did after you. By Allah, after you they did not stay for long and turned back on their heels (they turned away from Islam; among them are the Khawarij who separated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and began to consider Muslims as disbelievers, and also those who did not act upon the will of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and troubled and martyred his family—Allah forbid). Ibn Abi Mulaykah (the narrator of the hadith) says: O Allah, we seek Your protection from turning back on our heels or from any tribulation in the religion.

Hadith 1551
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "There will be a reservoir before you, the distance between its two banks will be like that between Jarba’ and Adhrah." In another narration, it is stated: "My reservoir will be before you." And in another narration, Ubaydullah says: "I asked him (i.e., Nafi‘) what are Jarba’ and Adhrah?" He replied: "They are two villages in Syria, and the distance between them is that of three nights’ journey." In another narration, it is stated: "It is a distance of three days’ journey."

Hadith 1552
`Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that` he (peace be upon him) said: I will be your forerunner at the Hawd (the Pond), and the distance between its two banks is like that between Sana'a and Aylah, and its drinking vessels are like the stars.

Hadith 1553
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What are the vessels of the Hawd (Pond) like?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the vessels of this Hawd are more numerous than the stars in the sky, and (more than) the dark night without clouds. They are the vessels of Paradise. Whoever drinks from this Hawd will never feel thirsty again (that is, until he enters Paradise). Two streams from Paradise flow into this Hawd. Whoever drinks from it will not feel thirsty, and its length and width are equal, as much as the distance from Aylah to Oman (both are cities in Syria). Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey."

Hadith 1554
Narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I will be pushing people away from my Hawd (Pond) for the people of Yemen. I will strike with my stick until its water flows towards the people of Yemen. (From this, the great virtue of the people of Yemen is derived. They helped the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in this world and protected him from enemies, so the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, will also help them in the Hereafter, and they will be the first to drink from the Hawd al-Kawthar.) Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: What is the width of this Hawd? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Like from here to Oman. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: What is its water like? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Two channels pour water into it, which are supplied with water from Paradise; one channel is of gold and the other of silver.

Hadith 1555
Narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out one day and offered the funeral prayer for the martyrs of Uhud, then came towards the pulpit and said: I will be your predecessor and a witness over you, and by Allah, I am seeing the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar at this moment. And I have been given the keys of the treasures of the earth, or the keys of the earth. And by Allah, I do not fear that you will become polytheists after me, but I fear that you will compete with one another for the world and become jealous of one another.
