Mukhtasar Muslim

Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted a concession in a certain matter. When he came to know (that people were not availing it), he stood up to deliver a sermon and said: "What is the matter with people that they avoid what I have been given a concession in? By Allah, I am the one who knows Allah the most and fears Him the most among you." (So following me and walking on my path is true piety and righteousness, and unnecessarily burdening oneself and avoiding what is permissible is to doubt its permissibility.)
