Hadith 1525
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: The example of what Allah has sent me with of guidance and knowledge is like rain that falls upon the earth. Some of it is a portion that absorbs the water and brings forth much grass and greenery. Another portion is hard and holds the water, so Allah benefits the people with it; they drink from it, give drink to others, and graze their animals. And another portion is barren land that neither retains water nor grows grass (like a smooth rock upon which water falls and flows away). This is the example of the one who understands Allah’s religion and benefits from what Allah has sent me with; he learns and teaches others. And the example of the one who does not pay attention and does not accept the guidance with which I have been sent by Allah.

Hadith 1526
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My example and the example of my religion with which Allah has sent me is like the example of a person who came to his people and said, "O my people! I have seen the army with my own eyes (i.e., the enemy's army), and I am a clear warner, so flee quickly." Now, some people from his nation accepted his word and fled that very evening and went away safely, while some denied him and remained at their place till morning. In the morning, the army attacked them and destroyed them and uprooted them completely. Thus, this is the example of the one who obeyed me and followed what I have brought, and the one who did not listen to me and denied the true religion.
