‘Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that’ a Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, “O Messenger of Allah! I saw in a dream that my head was cut off, it kept rolling away and I was running after it.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Do not relate (such a dream) to people, for it is something with which Satan plays with you in your dream.” Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that after this, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say in a sermon, “None of you should relate that which Satan plays with him in his dream.”
