Hadith 1514
´Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that` Musaylimah the Liar (who falsely claimed prophethood and for this reason was given the title "the Liar"; after the death of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he was killed along with his followers) came to Madinah during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "If Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gives me succession after him, I will follow him." Musaylimah the Liar had brought many people from his tribe with him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to him, and with him was Thabit bin Qais bin Shamas (may Allah be pleased with him), and in the hand of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was a piece of wood. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood among the people of Musaylimah and said: "O Musaylimah! Even if you ask me for this piece of wood, I would not give it to you, and I am not going to decide about you against the command of Allah. And if you do not accept what I say, Allah the Exalted will kill you." (This statement of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came true.) "And indeed, I know you as the one about whom I was shown in a dream, and Thabit will answer you on my behalf." Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, left from there. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I asked people, "What did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mean by saying: 'You are the one shown to me in a dream about you'?" So Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I was sleeping when I saw (in a dream) two gold bangles in my hand. They seemed evil to me, and in the dream it was inspired to me to blow on them, so I blew and both of them flew away. I interpreted it as two liars who will appear after me. One of them is the 'Anasi from Sana'a and the other is the Yamamah one (Musaylimah the Liar)."
