Hadith 1494
Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that some people asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about soothsayers. He (peace be upon him) said: "They are worthless (they have no standing) and are not worthy of any consideration." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes what they say turns out to be true?" He (peace be upon him) said: "That true statement is the one which a jinn snatches and whispers into the ear of his friend, just as a rooster calls a hen for grain. Then they mix it with their own falsehood and add more than a hundred lies to it (and tell it to the people)."
