Hadith 1482
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent Hakim to Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), so he cut a vein (i.e., performed bloodletting), then cauterized it.
