Hadith 1400
‘Urwah bin Zubair and Fatimah bint Mundhir bin Zubair narrate that both of them said that Sayyidah Asma’ (may Allah be pleased with her) set out (from Makkah) with the intention of migration, and she was pregnant with ‘Abdullah bin Zubair (i.e., she was expecting him). When she arrived at Quba’, Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin Zubair was born there. After his birth, she brought him to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) so that he (peace be upon him) could perform tahnik for him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took him from Sayyidah Asma’ (may Allah be pleased with her) and seated him in his lap, then asked for a date. Umm al-Mu’minin ‘A’ishah Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that we searched for a date for a while, then finally the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) chewed the date and put (its juice) into his mouth. The very first thing that entered ‘Abdullah’s stomach was the saliva of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyidah Asma’ (may Allah be pleased with her) said that after this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stroked ‘Abdullah and supplicated for him and named him ‘Abdullah. Then, when he was seven or eight years old, at the indication of Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), he came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to pledge allegiance. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him coming, he smiled. Then he took the pledge from him (for blessing, as he was a child).

Hadith 1401
`Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that` Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) had a son who was ill. He (Abu Talha) was out when the boy passed away. When he returned, he asked, "How is my child?" (His wife) Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) replied, "Now he is more at ease than before" (this was an allusion to his death, and not a lie). Then Umm Sulaym brought him the evening meal, and he ate. After that, he had relations with Umm Sulaym. When they were finished, Umm Sulaym said, "Go and bury the child." In the morning, Abu Talha went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him of everything that had happened. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Did you have relations with your wife last night?" Abu Talha replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed, "O Allah, bless them both." Later, Umm Sulaym gave birth to a boy, so Abu Talha said to me, "Take this child to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)," and Umm Sulaym sent some dates along with the child. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took the child and asked, "Is there anything with him?" The people replied, "Dates." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the dates, chewed them, then took them out of his mouth and put them into the child's mouth, and performed tahneek for him, and named him Abdullah.
