Hadith 1389
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bashir Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Messenger of Allah sent a messenger. Abdullah bin Abi Bakr said: I think that messenger said this while the people were in their resting places, that there should not remain any string necklace or necklace on the neck of any camel except that it should be cut off. Malik said: I think they used to put it on to ward off the evil eye.
