Hadith 1371
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to do seven things and forbade us from seven things. He commanded us to visit the sick, to accompany funeral processions (to the grave), to respond to sneezes, to fulfill oaths, to help the oppressed, to accept invitations, and to spread or propagate Islam. And he forbade us from wearing gold rings, eating and drinking from silver utensils, (using) saddle cloths (i.e., silk saddle cloths; if they are not made of silk, then it is not forbidden), wearing Qassi (a silk cloth made in a place called Qas in Egypt), wearing silk clothes, and from Istabraq and Dibaaj (both of which are also silk fabrics).
