Hadith 1366
‘Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and I had covered a niche or shelf with a curtain of mine, which had pictures on it. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw this, he tore it down and the color of his face changed, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “O Aisha! The people who will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection are those who make images of Allah’s creation.” Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) said that I cut it and made a cushion or two cushions from it. (A cushion from cloth with pictures may only be made when making the cushion distorts the image.)
