Hadith 1298
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you eats, let him eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand, for indeed Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.

Hadith 1299
Sayyiduna Iyas bin Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: A man ate with his left hand in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Eat with your right hand.” He replied, “I cannot.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “May you not be able to.” He had said this out of arrogance. The narrator says that he was never able to raise that hand to his mouth for the rest of his life.
