Hadith 1284
´Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says that` when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came from Makkah to Madinah, Suraqah bin Malik (on behalf of the polytheists) pursued him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated against him, so his horse sank (into the ground, meaning the earth seized him). He said, “Pray for me, I will not harm you.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed to Allah (so he was saved). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) felt thirsty and passed by a shepherd of goats. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “I took a bowl and milked a little milk for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and brought it to him. He (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it until I was pleased.”

Hadith 1285
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that on the night when the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was taken on the journey to Bayt al-Maqdis, two bowls were brought to him. One contained wine and the other contained milk. He, peace and blessings be upon him, looked at both and chose the bowl of milk. Sayyiduna Jibreel, peace be upon him, said: "All praise is due to Allah who guided you to the natural disposition (i.e., Islam and steadfastness). If you had chosen the wine, your Ummah would have gone astray."
