Hadith 1247
Hisham bin Zaid bin Anas bin Malik says: I went with my grandfather Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) to the house of Hakam bin Ayyub, and there were some people who had tied a chicken and were shooting arrows at it. So, Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing animals after tying them.

Hadith 1248
Saeed bin Jubair says that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) passed by some young men of the Quraish who had tied a bird and made it a target, and they were shooting arrows at it. They had an agreement with the owner of the bird that whoever missed the target, the owner would take that arrow. When those people saw Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), they moved away. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "Who has done this? May Allah's curse be upon the one who has done this. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who makes a living thing a target."
