`Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them) says that` it is as if I am (still) seeing the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace be upon him) was describing the condition of a prophet whose people had beaten him, and he was wiping the blood from his face and kept saying: "O Allah! Forgive my people, for they do not know." (Subhan Allah, what can be said about the patience of prophethood.)
