The conqueror of Persia, Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), says: "On the day of Uhud, I saw two men on the right and left side of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who were wearing white clothes (and they were fighting fiercely on his behalf). Before and after that, I did not see them. They were Jibreel and Mikaeel (peace be upon them). (Allah Almighty honored the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with these angels, and from this it is known that the fighting of the angels was not exclusive to Badr.)"
